How the Tailgator works:
The Tailgator is a practical, economical and unobtrusive solution to those spine-jarring butt-slams that ALL new snowboarders (and often more experienced boarders) fear.
It's made of shock absorbing, air-cellular plastic surrounded by a coated nylon cover. In our tests, we found this combination to provide the greatest shock absorption at the lowest cost.The Tailgator simply tucks inside your snow pants and is held in place by a small adjustable belt and your snow pants. Nobody but you will know you're wearing it, and due to theTailgator's simple but remarkably effective design (patent pending), the first time you butt-slam you'll be amazed at how much less painful it is. This will increase your confidence and may help you to improve your skills at a faster rate.
New snowboarders also spend more time sitting in the snow strapping into their bindings. The Tailgator provides a waterproof, insulating barrier between you and the snow (or the chairlift). More comfort is ALWAYS better!!!
You can spend a lot more money on garments and pads that don't work as well as the Tailgator, but why would you want to?
